Sr Business Analyst (Remote)

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Applies business process review to support the coordination of activities between and amongst functional units supporting one to more functional lines of business.
• Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization; contribute to acceptance/functional testing duties.
• Provides customer support and end-user support as required.
• Refines requirements with business process owners and documents requirements into actionable tasks and stories by developers in Jira.
• Assist development/test teams in activities with test script development and acceptance testing.
• Communicates with the development team and stakeholders to successfully address requirements.
• Acts as scrum master for development team: Maintains sprint and iteration backlogs, act as point of contact for external communications, coordinate Agile team activities (sprints, retrospectives, daily stand-ups).
• Interfaces with the program’s help desk – analyzes help desk tickets to determine if errors or issues match requirements and document and prioritize fixes for insertion into future sprints.
• Coordinates requirements definition and spring planning with interested parties, including product owners, project managers, testers, and developers.
• Performs requirements analysis and develops user stories to support the Agile team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• An equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant experience may be considered.
• Must have a BS in Computer Science, Business or a related field - plus 5 years of related experience

• Must be able to pass a background investigation with the U.S. Air Force (Public Trust) in order to obtain a CAC card.

• Prior experience on a scrum team
• Must have at least Three (3) years (Minimum) experience working in an Agile development environment
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to work with and lead a team
• Experience with successful Agile techniques
• Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
• Highly self-motivated and directed
• Three (3) plus years working with Jira and Confluence
• Five (5) or more years working as a business analyst in an IT development environment.

Preferred Skills:

• CSM or related Agile practitioner certification (strongly preferred)
• Professional Writing or Creative Writing experience
• Must be able to easily reprioritize tasks when needed.
• DoD and Air Force specific experience is a plus
• Experience working with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
• CSM Agile or SAFe Agile practitioner certification strongly preferred
