Job Summary
The Sr. Analyst, Logistics Sourcing & Process Improvement is responsible for the Regional Procurement of all Logistics Services (Land, Storage, Import/Export agents, etc) for Specialties SCM. Uses analytical methods and a variety of tools to understand Logistics operations, processes and activities, and controls or reduces costs. The Sr. Analyst is responsible for data management, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing, recommending, and implementing solutions to solve the problems.
The successful candidate must be a self-starter and detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to support and lead multiple projects through implementation and possess a demonstrated track record of achieving results and operational excellence. In addition, the candidate must be able to operate in a highly matrixed environment, communicate with all levels of the organization, influence, and gain commitment, and continuously develop the talent around them.
How You Can Be the Impact
- Through activities like assess business requirements, qualify logistics service providers, conduct competitive bidding, evaluate offers, and award and negotiate contracts.
- Partner with Planning, Customer Service and Demand Planning team to identify vital x’s, develop and implement process improvements and control plans to improve key business metrics.
- Maintain contract database for all modes in alignment with SABIC documentation retention policy.
- Spot Sourcing for Land, Storage, Import & Export Agent and other Logistic Services to satisfy prompt business needs.
- Execute the Supply Chain Procurement process in AMR region (Canada, Mexico & USA):
- Minimize overall Supply Chain Risks by conformance with Procurement Policy, upholding EHSS standard and code of ethics with logistics service providers.
- Manage SCM cost reporting (Distribution, Transportation and Warehousing spend) and develop yearly SCM budget in coordination with the Finance and Logistics team.
- Drive cost out & process improvement initiatives internally and with our strategic 3PL providers.
- Monitor vendor spend, prepare regular vendor performance reporting, and conduct benchmarking.

- BS / BA Degree
- Possess a strategic mindset
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Minimum 5 years experience in supply chain procurement related jobs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous Logistics Experience with knowledge of Procurement, Load Planning, Carrier Operations, and Costs Management
- SAP Systems Knowledge
- Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt Certified
- 2-3 years 3PL experience (either working at a 3PL or managing a 3PL)

Work Availability
