The Sr Account Manager will manage all aspects of engagements with existing and new utility customers for our Safety and Productivity Solutions organization. You will build relationships and understand customer business in order to provide appropriate products or solutions. You will define sales and growth strategy toward key customers while aligning with critical sales business objectives. You will identify opportunities and build credibility with customers and utilize your product knowledge to deliver the value proposition to the customers.
This position will have a territory of northern Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Michigan. The candidate must live within one of these areas, preferably in Chicago or Detroit. This position will be about 75% travel.
Key Responsibilities

• Establish rapport with customers
• Negotiate and close opportunities within the region
• Manage and plan accounts within the region
• Manage momentum through the sales cycle
• Identify opportunities with utilities, co-ops, and municipalities
• Articulate and deliver value proposition

YOU MUST HAVE

• Previous sales experience in utility hardware (poles, clamps, blankets, gloves, sleeves)

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate in a highly matrixed environment
