Job Summary

This Sr. Brand Manager position will lead business strategy, consumer communications and innovation with a primary focus on the Primal Pet Foods business and contributing to the Himalayan Pet Supply business. This comprehensive role will span across portfolio optimization and innovation, communications planning and execution, customer marketing strategy and planning, and base business functions. The ideal candidate for this position will have an entrepreneurial mindset, delivering big-picture thinking while executing with a detail-oriented focus.

Reporting to the Primal Pet Group Vice President of Marketing, this position will be based out of our Evanston, IL office on a hybrid office/home schedule.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead media plan and advertising content development and execution to effectively achieve business goals
• Mentor and develop direct report
• Lead key business operations such as pricing and sku rationalization
• Lead business and communications planning in partnership with cross-functional team
• Lead the strategy, development and commercialization of innovation & renovation
• Lead brand communications strategy, planning and execution to deliver compelling content that resonates with consumers
• Manage Customer Marketing strategy and key account relationships to drive retail performance

Qualifications And Skills

• A proven track record accelerating growth on brands leveraging analytical thinking and a result-oriented mindset
• Ability to partner cross-functionally while managing inputs and needs of internal and external stakeholders.
• People management experience preferred.
• Occasional travel will be required.
• Post-secondary education preferred.
• Brand strategy, activation, and innovation experience
• Minimum 5 years of relevant consumer/lifestyle brand marketing experience
• Strong ability to communicate effectively, thoroughly and in a timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will provide support and supervisory oversight within the Marketing Department.
