Overview
Maintains responsibility for writing and executing the test plan, translating business requirements into executable tests and generating test results to determine the production readiness of new software and software patches. Collaborates with development, management, and test teams to ensure business requirements have been met and all QA software release documents have been generated.
Responsibilities

- Monitors, measures, and reports metrics based on the results of all tests
- Provides feedback on the production readiness of the software being tested, allowing management to make a well-informed decision regarding the release of software into production
- Creates and documents test cases for all documented requirements
- Makes recommendations based on assessed risks to quality by applying various verification and validation techniques in coordination with the Developers, QA, and Managers
- Performs quality control and quality assurance testing of applications using a set of testing tools, testing framework, processes and methodologies
- Reviews, Measures, evaluates and tests new or modified software, including documentation, diagram, and flow chart, to determine if a program will perform according to user requests and standards and conform to guidelines
- Manages and executes testing for all test cases including integration, certification, user acceptance, system, regression, and load tests
- Conducts tests on computer software programs to make sure the programs perform properly and are easy to use; completes tests to determine weaknesses in software code and recommends program improvements or corrections to programmers
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business or related field from an accredited college or university; supplemented by five (5) or more years of experience in quality assurance, working with developers, project and release managers; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND DESIGNATIONS
Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) or Certified Software Tester (CSTE) preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of software development life cycle principles and quality assurance methodology
- Ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms to customers and staff
- Ability to analyze and document complex business processes
- Ability to perform Business Analysis and write Technical Requirements
- Ability to multi-task and remain flexible when priorities or work direction change
- Knowledge in creating detailed test cases/scripts based on business and functional requirements, as well as reviewing the same
