Software Quality Assurance Specialist/Tester (Qa)

You are a professional who is responsible for creating software test plans, scenarios, procedures and scripts supporting an Agile development project. You will execute the tests on applications and work in tandem with Developers and Business Analysts to determine testing parameters. You will analyze the test results and identify the potential reasons for the errors and bugs.

Responsibilities Include:

• Supports UAT prep efforts in conjunction with business owners/users
• Meet with the Business Analysis and internal business members to determine testing parameters
• Documents test results
• Work with the software development team to determine and resolve issues
• Estimates testing levels of effort for requirements
• Executes detailed tests and test scripts
• Automates tests as needed in testing tools to support automation, 508 compliance, and performance testing
• Develops test plans, scenarios, procedures, test cases, and RTMs
• Determines testing approach for break/fix and enhancement requests
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with customers, clients, vendors, and internal staff

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited institution
• Proficient with JIRA
• Minimum of 3-4 years experience in regression testing experience
• Demonstrated abilities as a driven, self-starter and quick study
• Minimum of 3-4 years experience in Information Technology as a Software QA/Tester
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in technology-related field or business administration
• Agile Certification preferred
• Able to multi-task and shift priorities as needed
• Experience in a government environment
• US Citizenship or Green Card holder
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Work effectively with numerous stakeholder types and bring a group to consensus
• Comfortable with Agile development practices
• Experience with Appian BPM tool (or other BPM tools)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in a client interaction context
