The Select Group is looking for a manual tester to join one of their top banking clients! This candidate should have banking experience and experience with manual testing in an Agile environment. This is a 100% remote opportunity, but candidates should be located in the EST. If you meet the below requirements, apply today!
Job Title:: Manual Tester
Start Date: 07/10/2023
Job Duration: 12 month w/ extensions
Work Location: Remote working EST
Project Details:
You will take the requirements or user story, then turn it into test cases, determine how it needs to be tested. Then do the testing yourself during the sprint, working under a test lead to write test cases, execute test cases, and perform other testing activities.
· You will review the acceptance criteria / user story from the Business. Challenge the business for more information when requirements are unclear. Then WRITE & Execute your own test case
· Blackbox, WhiteBox, Functional, Systems Integration, Regression testing
· You’re working with Product Owners/ Project Managers (code delivered externally) and internal Developers (code delivered internally)
· Test Case/Test Suite maintenance. As test cases are written you’ll be responsible for updating them to match the scope and requirement of the test as the platform evolves.
· Jira Grooming by updating outdated test cases to bring them up to the templated standard.
Requirements
- 5+ Years of Manual Testing in Software Testing in a formalized QA Environment (SDLC / Agile) in banking domain for strong software testers with a very strong personality)
o Estimating Scope / Time to complete Testing
o Creation of details / formalized test scripts
o Execution of your own test cases
o Quality Assurance (Functional)
o UAT
o Systems integration Testing (Validate Backend Mainframe Screen)
- Agile experience
- Bug Defect Tracking Systems (JIRA Mostly, some legacy stuff in ALM)
- Outstanding communication skills - need a strong personality, able to go nose to nose with business and software team when needed.
