About the Team:
The GCO DTI Coverage and Pricing Intelligence product team is focused on developing new deal modeling and forecasting technology capabilities to increase revenue opportunities in the US market for Amgen's products. This is a cross-functional team that innovates digital product capabilities as part of the highly visible Gross-to-Net Transformation initiative.
Responsibilities
  • Continuously advance team and stakeholder adoption of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Deliver a wide range of technology features applying data engineering, backend software/API development, and AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Maintain existing models, provide architectural guidance, and drive Anaplan best practices for initiatives
  • Bring product capabilities to life by translating concepts and ideas to software features
  • Lead the architecture, design, development, testing, implementation and DevOps of Coverage and Pricing team's Deal Modeling, Forecasting and Analytics Products on GCO's AWS Data Lake and Anaplan platforms
  • Lead automation efforts and drive rapid prototyping and scaling across products and processes including spearheading efforts around test automation pipelines within standard DevOps frameworks
  • Lead implementation and deployment planning, system integration, regression testing, and sustainability of technical solutions
  • Develop, configure, and integrate solutions across technologies including Databricks, EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS, Redshift, Docker, Kubernetes, Dash, etc.
  • Work with Data Engineers in automating and building integrations for seamless data flow to Anaplan, Tableau, and other reporting platforms
  • Work across teams to support the technology stack of Commercial's Coverage, Contracting and Pricing products on standard City Plan platforms (Anaplan, SAP, GDNA, Alteryx, Tableau, AWS Redshift, S3)
  • Follow Amgen’s governance processes, procedures, specifications, design controls, and applicable compliance standards and guidance documents
  • Be an interdisciplinary team member who is innovative, accountable, reliable, and able to thrive in a constantly evolving environment
  • Build and design E2E technologies, including Data Storage (AWS S3), Cloud Compute (AWS EC2), Highly Performant Data Warehouses (AWS Redshift), Data Engineering and Analytics (Databricks, Spark), Orchestration (Airflow, Jenkins), and Reporting / Data Visualization Tools (Tableau).

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
OR
Master's degree and 3 years of engineering experience
Or
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of engineering experience Or
Associate degree and 10 years of engineering experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with container technologies (e.g., Docker) and developing micro-services and APIs
  • Expert in programming/scripting languages, including but not limited to: Python, Java, C, C++, R, C#, JavaScript, SQL, PL/SQL
  • Data engineering, analysis and reporting experience using analytics, visualization, and database technologies (AWS stack, Alteryx, Anaplan, Tableau)
  • Working experience in Agile (Scrum, SAFe) teams with a demonstrable understanding of software development framework and methodologies
  • Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge and learn platforms, languages, tools, and technologies
  • Certification in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Hands-on working experience with AWS technologies (S3, EC2, Redshift, Spectrum).
  • Experience with native cloud computing, design, development, and security patterns for AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience building and maintaining Anaplan, Databricks, ETL Tools
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience working in Agile teams & DevOps frameworks (Jenkins, JIRA, GitHub) and implementing CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on working experience retrieving data using complex SQL queries and building ETL logic and data pipelines
  • Experience with developing test automation frameworks for browser and backend testing using standard toolsets (e.g., Selenium)

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $113,402-$149,536 USD
