Zynx Health is seeking a Software Engineer in its Software Development department. This position will be 100% remote.

The Software Developer works as part of a team responsible for participating in the design, development, and testing of healthcare/business related applications and products. Software Developer primarily focus on more strategic development projects such as key new features or products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contributes to business requirement definition and use case design as technical exper
• Design and develop complex software for healthcare applications
• Passionate about best engineering practices and discipline: code review, automated testing, logging, monitoring, etc
• Participate in the development of healthcare/business related applications
• Be part of a development team using modern development languages, relational and NoSQL databases
• Create and update technical documents
• Provides technical mentoring and knowledge sharing to other Software Developers
• Work with Product Owners and teams to drive features and specifications, architecture design, implementation, and other software development responsibilities

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Advanced knowledge of technologies including, but not limited to: Java, Groovy, JavaScript, Web API, and Kafka
• Patterns and Practices: Spring MVC
• Version Control Tools: Git, Bitbucket
• Experience in design and implementation of user interfaces and UI components using React is nice to have
• Project Management: Jira
• Frameworks: Java Spring
• Experience working with Spring framework and large-scale REST APIs
• Testing Framework: JUnit, Spock, Groovy, Rest Assured
• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
• Familiarity with any dynamic, functional OO language such as Ruby, Python, Scala, Kotlin is nice to have
• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Good working experience with unit tests, integration tests and automated REST API tests
• Continuously strive to improve code quality
• Experience with technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, XSLT is required
• CI/CD Tools: Jenkins
• Databases: MySQL
• Programming Languages: Java, Groovy, JavaScript
• Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, React, XHTML, XML, XSLT, XQuery
• 4+ years of professional software development experience with good knowledge of Software Development Methodologies and processes
• Experience in Health Care tech platforms like Epic, Cerner, and Meditech and protocols like HL7 and FHIR are highly recommended
• Development Methodologies: Agile model, Test Driven Development

In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in Los Angeles, CA. The reasonable estimate, if hired in Los Angeles, is $97,000 – $130,000. Please note this information is specific to those hired in location. If this role is open to candidates outside of location, the salary range would be aligned to that specific location. A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
