Why Lytx
We are seeking a Software Engineer I to help accelerate our industry leading Driver Safety/Fleet Management Software.  Our products manage massive amounts of data collected from over 600,000 vehicles worldwide.  We use the data and video to derive intelligent insights using Video Telematics, Machine Vision and AI for all devices and vehicles on the network.   As a Software Engineer I, you have the opportunity to work the full SDLC including, technical requirements, software design, development, unit testing and deployment of production software features and components in an Agile environment. Your efforts will make a positive impact on the Lytx solution which collects, organizes, and presents information for tracking driver safety and improving the efficiency for commercial transportation fleets.

• Own and operate scalable production services and user interface

What You’ll Need

• 1+ years of experience with C# or other OOP languages such as Java etc.
• 1+ years implementing Unit Testing and software quality standard methodologies.
• BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
• 1+ years of experience crafting databases with SQL/NoSQL or other technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL SQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• A passion for working on all tiers (web, services, data)
• Experience working with dynamic Agile teams.
• Demonstrated experience using common Object Oriented Design patterns to design and implement web based software solutions.
• 1+ years of experience implementing web technology frameworks such as: JavaScript, Python, Ruby, etc.
• Contributor to successful product releases.
• 1+ years’ experience developing web services such as RESTful API's etc.

Preferred

• MS SQL or NoSQL technologies
• C# or Java
• RESTful APIs
• Angular 2x, React or similar front-end frameworks

Hourly rate is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is also eligible for an incentive compensation plan. The expected hiring hourly rate for this position is:
$42.19 - $51.56
