Title: XR Frontend Engineer

Location: Menlo Park, CA, USA

Hybrid 2 days in office, 3 days from home

Mission:

The XR/Frontend Engineer assesses emerging technologies and offers creative solutions for the advancement of frontend and AR/VR/MR development in support of transformative services and products. This software engineering position involves designing user interfaces for diverse technical areas like IoT, Big Data, AI, ML, AR, VR, and MR, collaborating closely with engineering, stakeholders, UX designers, and other technical teams within the organization.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Craft refined and captivating user interfaces across web, mobile, AR/VR/MR, and emerging platforms.

• Collaborate seamlessly with UX designers, developers, and product owners to bring to life scalable and engaging applications.

• Stay at the forefront of cutting-edge technical concepts and emerging markets.

• Offer technical guidance and comprehensive documentation to empower developers and stakeholders.

• Enforce usability principles, drawing from project, Product Line, or customer-driven insights.

• Construct prototypes, products, and systems that align with rigorous project standards and requisites.

• Innovate, design, and sustain imaginative software solutions utilizing the latest immersive production technologies.

• Contribute to a library of well-documented and thoroughly tested shared components, fostering efficient reusability.

• Engage actively with customers, users, Product Managers, and Technical Architects to deeply comprehend needs and amplify the positive impact on user experiences.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical expertise.

• Beneficial background in various technical domains, augmented by coursework or hands-on experience in Human-Computer Interaction/User Experience.

• Accumulate over 5 years of proficient engagement as a Frontend Developer.

• Proficiency in crafting solutions for XR devices utilizing the Unity game engine.

• Familiarity with OpenXR, MRTK, Oculus SDK, OpenVR, or analogous XR software development kits.

• Skill in JavaScript, Typescript, C#, or C++ programming for 3D graphics.

• Adeptness in application profiling and performance optimization.

• Track record of advocating for novel and established XR technologies among developers and stakeholders, including influential business leaders.

• Acquire a keen grasp of the latest trends in frontend development and the XR ecosystem.

• Foundation or comprehension of diverse frameworks like Angular, React, StencilJS, Three.js,

WebComponents, etc.

• Proficiency in working with Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
