Position Overview:
Piero Atchugarry Gallery, an international contemporary art gallery, is seeking a Social Media Marketing Intern to begin Fall 2023 for a four-month semester period, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent part-time and or full-time Gallery position.
Candidates should be able to think critically, work independently to prioritize tasks, and should be a detail-oriented team-player. Strong applicants will have excellent communication skills, allowing them to interface with office staff and exhibiting artists. In addition to a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
This is a hybrid internship that requires intern to be present at the gallery for part of their weekly hours (schedule to be determined).
Primary Responsibilities:
• Assist with developing social media content plans that are consistent with the company’s brand identity.
• Assist with creating consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms, including writing and editing social media posts, improving follower engagement, and promoting social media campaigns.
• Staying up to date on best practices and emerging trends in social media.
• Performing other social media related duties when needed.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or Journalism
• Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours per week (exact schedule to be determined)
• Hands-on experience managing social media for an organization
• Knowledge of leading social media platforms and trends
• Understanding of how to generate positive ROI through social media initiatives
• Active use of leading social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google, Linkedin etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier, and G-suite
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Familiarity with ArtLogic is a plus
• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
• Knowledge of contemporary art is a plus
