Part-Time Marketing & Social Media Assistant

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time Marketing Assistant. In this role, you will support our marketing department in implementing various marketing strategies and initiatives, with a particular focus on social media marketing. Responsibilities

• Help manage and maintain social media accounts, including content scheduling, monitoring engagement, and responding to customer inquiries.
• Assist with website events and small changes
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling and engaging content for various social media platforms, ensuring consistency in brand messaging.
• Support the organization and coordination of marketing events, and promotional activities, including online initiatives.
• Monitor and analyze social media campaign performance metrics, providing reports and recommendations to optimize future campaigns.
• Assist in developing and updating marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, presentations, and other collateral.
• Take photos and videos of events around campus
• Implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and generate leads.
• Assist in the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, including social media marketing, email marketing, content creation, and digital advertising.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new trends, target audiences, and opportunities for growth.
• Conduct administrative tasks such as data entry, updating databases, and organizing marketing materials.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging marketing technologies, sharing insights and recommendations with the team.
• Monitor social media trends, emerging platforms, and best practices, and provide recommendations for incorporating them into the marketing strategy.

Requirements

• Previous experience or coursework in marketing, advertising, or a related field is preferred
• Familiarity with social media analytics tools and the ability to interpret data to optimize social media performance.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all marketing materials.
• Demonstrated experience in managing social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, and community management.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Flexible schedule and availability to work part-time hours based on the marketing department's needs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic graphic design skills are a plus.
• Photography & videography skills a plus or willing to learn
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in Canva required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and information.
