This is an exciting and diverse role that includes a mix of project management, organic and paid social media, content creation, copywriting, and design. The ideal candidate is motivated, proactive, organized, social media-savvy, and creative.
Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Communications and working with other members of the marketing team, the Social Media Manager will have the following key responsibilities:
Communications and Brand
- Analyzes and gathers evolving customer and channel insights and data to inform strategy and execution with the goal of improving brand perception and achieving established KPIs.
- Defines, manages, and scales content strategy across social media channels including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube.
- Creates compelling and relevant content for cross-channel distribution and maintains the Forté content library.
- Independently creates social media strategy that aligns with overall organizational content strategy.
- Manages the social media schedule and responds to inbound messages and comments in appropriate channels.
- Assists the Director, Marketing and Communications to ensure Forté communications adhere to brand standards as required.
- Responsible for ensuring social media content adheres to brand guidelines.
- Develops and executes innovative brand-level initiatives and paid social media campaigns, leveraging current social media trends and talent.
Administrative
- Research target audiences and their educational and career trends.
- Develops brand messaging repositories inclusive of media mentions, testimonials, and related statistics.
- Responsible for managing platform(s) and related budget(s).
Desired Characteristics
- Demonstrates energy and passion for the Forté vision to advance women into business leadership with a clear understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Strong copywriting, graphic design, and video creation and editing skills.
- Marketing experience in higher education, event management, or membership community.
- Attention to detail, responsiveness, flexibility, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Tenacity in learning new skills, identifying solutions, and resolving issues.
- Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects seamlessly.
Required Education/Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Experience with tools and platforms related to content creation and social media
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and move/pack/ship boxes as required.
- 6+ years of work experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel to and assist with live events as needed.

Job Environment
