Social Media Manager (Remote)

This is an exciting and diverse role that includes a mix of project management, organic and paid social media, content creation, copywriting, and design. Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Communications and working with other members of the marketing team, the Social Media Manager will have the following key responsibilities:

Communications and Brand

• Analyzes and gathers evolving customer and channel insights and data to inform strategy and execution with the goal of improving brand perception and achieving established KPIs.
• Defines, manages, and scales content strategy across social media channels including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube.
• Creates compelling and relevant content for cross-channel distribution and maintains the Forté content library.
• Independently creates social media strategy that aligns with overall organizational content strategy.
• Manages the social media schedule and responds to inbound messages and comments in appropriate channels.
• Assists the Director, Marketing and Communications to ensure Forté communications adhere to brand standards as required.
• Responsible for ensuring social media content adheres to brand guidelines.
• Develops and executes innovative brand-level initiatives and paid social media campaigns, leveraging current social media trends and talent.

Administrative

• Research target audiences and their educational and career trends.
• Develops brand messaging repositories inclusive of media mentions, testimonials, and related statistics.
• Responsible for managing platform(s) and related budget(s).

• Strong copywriting, graphic design, and video creation and editing skills.
• Marketing experience in higher education, event management, or membership community.
• Attention to detail, responsiveness, flexibility, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Tenacity in learning new skills, identifying solutions, and resolving issues.
• Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects seamlessly.

Required Education/Experience/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience with tools and platforms related to content creation and social media
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and move/pack/ship boxes as required.
• 6+ years of work experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to travel to and assist with live events as needed.

Job Environment
