Social Media Designer Contractor

Dragon Army is looking for a part-time Social Media Designer who has a knack for concepting and executing engaging content for a brand that showcases products from planners to journals to other fine paper materials. The person in this role will be responsible for designing original content for social media channels, with a focus on Instagram and TikTok.

As a Social Media Designer at Dragon Army, you will create high-quality graphic materials from visual stills to videos (including animations), and will need to be exceptionally creative and motivated. This position requires extensive marketing knowledge and comprehension of social media trends. You need to have great communication and organizational skills, and be able to make decisions independently as well as alongside a team in a collaborative environment.

Social Media Designer Responsibilities

• Present ideas and drafts to the internal team and clients
• Develop fresh concepts based on client/brand goals and current social media trends
• Own the social media presence of a brand in order to create a cohesive brand landscape, borrowing master brand elements and creating new assets as needed
• Review analytics and provide suggestions on what can be improved
• Design top-notch graphic content for social media channels (a focus on Instagram and TikTok)
• Ensure that all the graphic elements are consistent in terms of style, colors, and message
• Test graphic elements across devices/platforms

Social Media Designer Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design
• Ability to excite clients and showcase work in an easy-to-understand mannerProficiency in graphics editing software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Ability to create unique content
• Passion for social media including understanding what resonates well on different platforms and staying up to date on current trends
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Exceptional creative skills
• Knowledge of up-to-date formatting requirements across numerous social media platforms
• Can provide a portfolio showcasing your best work
• Has 2 years experience creating beautifully designed graphics and simple videos for Instagram and/or TikTok
