Senior Vice President Bank Operations

POSITION SUMMARY

The SVP Bank Operations represents the Bank and our culture of YES in every transaction and customer interaction. As an experienced member of Bank Operations, this position serves an integral role on our leadership team and will work hand-in-hand with numerous departments to ensure execution of the Bank’s strategic vision. Success in this role requires excellent communication, project management skills, strategic thinking, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to lead/mentor others.

We are currently searching for high-potential people to join our team at our Downtown Austin offices, soon to be located at 600 West 5th Street. This position requires you to be in-office and reports to our Chief Operating Officer.

WHAT WILL I DO?

This role will provide daily leadership and counsel to their respective teams, foster collaborative working relationships across the organization, and develop and implement processes, procedures, and technology which support the Bank’s strategic plan:

• Other duties as assigned and/or taken on.
• Serves as a project leader with the implementation of new banking products and services. Oversees development, testing, and compliance of said products and services with applicable Bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identifies, effectively communicates, and manages the ongoing monitoring of loan, deposit, and application data to help inform decisions, reduce risk, and meet regulatory and compliance requirements. Collaborates with database engineers and other teams to design and improve reports and data dashboards.
• Provides strategic leadership, oversight, and day-to-day mentorship to the Bank’s operations teams, including but not limited to branch operations, treasury, and marketing.
• Provides leadership and oversight of the core and online banking systems to ensure projects, problems, service requests and escalations are dealt with according to defined set of policies, processes, procedures, and SLA's. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing core and online banking initiatives and managing associated vendor relationships.
• Manages and oversees the Data Analysis function and staff. Monitor workload and prioritize projects to ensure tasks are completed timely and accurately. Support the team in delivering an exceptional experience for both internal and external customers.
• Fosters development of team members through establishment of clear performance goals and providing constructive feedback. Takes ownership of individual professional development by participating in internal/external training and professional development programs.
• Leads assigned teams in the continuous evaluation of processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvements to operational structure, policies and procedures, and workflows to increase automation and efficiency.

AM I THE RIGHT FIT?

We are searching for professionals who have had proven success in their past careers, are self-motivated, and have a great attitude to join our team. Bonus: you have strong banking leadership experience.

Specific requirements include:

• History of mentorship and developing others.
• Minimum: BA/BS and 10+ years of banking operations experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience, which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties of this position.
• Familiarity with SQL, SSRS, bank core systems, and online banking platforms. Bonus: experience with CSI/NuPoint and/or Q2 banking software.
• Senior level bank leadership experience highly desired.
• Optimistic, internally motivated, team-oriented personality; and,
• Strong organizational and project management skills with a focus on collaboration.
• Extensive knowledge, experience and understanding of banking operations, finance, and the banking industry.
• Ability to make decisions, create change, and help grow a company – while growing yourself.
