Senior Technical Advisor, Local Partner Financial Capacity Strengthening

CRS’ approach to capacity strengthening is evidence-based, using tested non-formal education and organization development approaches and is based on the needs of participating partner organizations’ colleagues. The long-term goal is to achieve organizational and programmatic sustainability. CRS’s capacity strengthening support to partners is based on our partnership principles, which recognize and value the skills, resources, knowledge, and capacities of communities and local institutions. As such, we facilitate and promote the strengthening of partners’ abilities to identify, build on, and address their vulnerabilities, strengths, and specific capacity strengthening needs through a process that leads to sustainability, agency and leadership.

The Senior Technical Advisor, Local Partner Financial Capacity Strengthening (STA/F) will provide thought leadership and technical expertise to support the design, delivery, and evaluation of high quality financial capacity strengthening interventions in CRS country programs worldwide. The STA/F works in collaboration with Finance,, partnership and capacity strengthening, and program quality (PQ) staff in headquarters, regions, and country programs to research best/promising practices, develop, implement, evaluate, and document financial capacity strengthening approaches and tools in line with CRS’ capacity strengthening approach and partnership principles. Provides technical assistance to overseas offices including the design, implementation and evaluation of financial capacity strengthening for staff and partners, advising on design of project proposals and implementation, and establishing and maintaining relationships with other leading capacity strengthening institutions.
