Become a Senior Manager, Distribution Resource & Capacity Planning at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll have the overall responsibility for all field related resource and capacity planning activities across Distribution, including building and managing capacity planning models, leading strategic teams related to Distribution hiring, labor and vehicle strategy, and managing the staffing function for the Division. The leader will direct all aspects of resource management such as forecasting both SCE and third-party construction crew resource demand, supply, and integration into strategic hiring and vehicle plans required to sustain over $3 billion of Capital and O&M execution work. This role is also responsible for working across Distribution and with critical partners from Human Resources, T&D, ASP, Supply Management, and Op Finance to support critical staffing requirements including resources required at the region and district level. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the hiring, development, safe work practices, and performance management of a staff comprised of senior advisors, advisors, and senior specialists.

- Establishes performance expectations and goals aligned with Company objectives, policies, and procedures
- Oversee and facilitate the overall staffing strategy and hiring approval process for Distribution, processing new hiring requests and implementing continuous improvements as needed.
- Provide sponsorship of the labor strategy and vehicle strategy steering cross functional leadership teams that ensure SRIIM resource commitments are met and establish standards and approaches to meet resources needs and mitigate/remove obstacles
- Enhance and/or create resource and capacity planning performance oversight tools and metrics to optimize resourcing efficiencies for over $3 billion in capital and maintenance work
- Drive an efficient and disciplined process to deliver targeted utilization levels across Distribution and manage long-term capacity models with the operational business leaders and designated partner resources
- Develop and manage capacity models for Distribution construction crews and consult with the business on Operating Plans, strategic initiatives, and new demands and impacts
- Participate in special projects as needed to help the Distribution Organization meet performance goals, including continuous improvement initiatives to cross-functionally streamline processes
- Demonstrates Company values through decisions and actions and promotes the Company’s safety culture to ensure a safe work environment. Oversees and manages a staff that interacts routinely with varied organizations within Human Resources, T&D, ASP, Supply Management, and Op Finance
- Facilitate a routine forecasting process to optimize resourcing and implement staffing adjustments to manage resource costs effectively, including premium time for construction resources
- Oversee the development of scenario models for decision making on resource needs to meet work execution targets and customer satisfaction goals, covering both SCE and contractor staffing
The essentials
- Five years or more managing/supervising an organization or unit or five years of project management experience
The preferred
- Seven years’ or more managing/supervising an organization or unit or five years’ of project management experience
- Broad knowledge of SCE and T&D policies, Strategies, and Goals, including applicable governmental laws and regulations
- Five years experience within a Utility supporting operations or construction projects
- Five years experience related to resource and capacity planning

- The position’s work mode is remote. Employee is able to work primarily at home or remote however, the employee may be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion.
