Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Associate Director, Accounting, the Senior Payroll Manager will be responsible for accurately and timely processing payroll through ADP. The candidate will be the primary payroll contact and handle all payroll related matters. Ideally the candidate will also help with ad hoc projects as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in:
- Collaborate and partner with HR on payroll related matters.
- Analyze payroll and benefits related accounts for unusual trends to ensure accurate reporting.
- Complete end to end ownership of processing complex semi-monthly payroll using ADP Workforce Now.
- Participation in process improvements, financial system enhancements and special projects as needed.
- Assistance with keeping employee accounts accurate and updated between various systems such as Etrade, Coupa and Smartsheet.
- Reviews and reconciles quarterly and annual, federal, and state, payroll tax returns, and form W-2s.
- Prepares information required to complete the 401(k) audit and the workers compensation insurance audit.
- Prepares compensation and benefit information to support the proxy and tax provision.
- Preparation of payroll in a public company environment with controls.
- Processing equity, multi-state payroll and LOAs.
- Ensure new state payroll tax registrations and garnishment are complete in collaboration with ADP.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with seven to ten years of relevant experience in payroll, public company and pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now required.
- Ability to work independently, protect and safeguard confidential information, great attention to detail and to meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge and research capability of applicable local, state and federal law pertinent to benefits administration.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to anticipate events, prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with interdepartmental teams.
- Innovative, team-player with high energy for dynamic company environment.
Revolution Medicines currently requires that all personnel and visitors to its offices be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This role will require that the employee meet with company employees and work from the company’s offices on a hybrid schedule. Given that these essential functions of the role must be performed on-site, this position requires full COVID-19 vaccination, subject to applicable law.
The expected salary range for this role is $140,000 to $185,000. An individual’s position within the range may be influenced by multiple factors, including skills and experience in role, overall performance, individual impact and contributions, tenure, and market dynamics. Base salary is one part of the overall total rewards program at RevMed, which includes competitive cash compensation, robust equity awards, strong benefits, and significant learning and development opportunities.
