Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY: The Payroll Administrator will oversee auditing ADP schedules for each department (Fitness, Sales, and Operations). They will verify the times in ADP is shown on the schedule and check for missing punches, missed meal breaks and exceptions. They will enter in all manual timesheets and keep record.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 2. Administrator
  • Auditing all timecards for employees for each department; Sales, Fitness, Operations
  • Auditing
  • Assists in training other staff on the payroll system and trouble shoots general user questions
  • Ensures timely processing of all staff payroll in accordance with labor regulations
  • Check for missing punches, missed meal breaks, and exceptions
  • Enter in and keep track of all manual timesheets for all employees
  • Works with corporate Payroll, Human Resources, and IT contacts to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Verify times in ADP Workforce Now are exact as the schedule shown in club
  • Administer company policies as they relate to payroll processes
ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS: The Payroll Administrator will report directly to the Operations Manager. The Payroll Administrator will work directly with each department manager. Duties require interaction with all club members and employees.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Understands and follows oral and written instructions.
  • Minimum experience:
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for up to 8 hours. The employee occasionally sits, walks, kneels and reaches with hands and arms.
  • Required to stand, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to stand and remain on your feet for a full shift
  • Must be energetic and possess a very friendly, outgoing personality and positive attitude
  • Adhere to meal and rest break periods and must clock in and out for all shift times
  • Minimum certifications/educational level:
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs
  • Knowledgeable of payroll guidelines and labor regulations
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, including telephone etiquette
  • Able to multi-task and perform tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Adhere to meal and rest break periods and must clock in and out for all shift times
  • Must have 6 months’ customer service experience in health club, retail, hospitality, or food service industry
  • Must be a self-starter and able to accomplish expected tasks with minimal supervision
  • Must be a team player and possess a can-do attitude
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Possess a strong customer service focus
