Job Title:


Payroll Compliance Analyst/Auditor


Reports To


Payroll Manager


This position if fully remote (MUST HAVE experience with CA payroll labor laws and audits on a weekly basis and calculate penalties)


Job Summary


The Payroll Compliance Analyst-Auditor reviews the time and attendance reports daily to discover errors and exceptions to policy.


Job Duties And Responsibilities


  • Review of Lunch/Break Penalty Hours.
  • Ensure appropriate remediation, promote a culture of adherence to Time and Attendance policies.
  • Communicate and collaborate with multiple departments and team members to ensure program success.
  • M aintain progress reports and provide recurring reporting to Company Leadership
  • Review time and attendance reports on a daily basis to discover errors and exceptions to policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Project coding and labor hour allocation, invalid projects, and project coding compliance.
  • Partner with managers to ensure the identified errors are corrected.


Physical And Mental Requirements


  • The Payroll Compliance Analyst-Auditor must have proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
  • The Payroll Compliance Analyst-Auditor must be able to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • The Payroll Compliance Analyst-Auditor m ust be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and lead others to create, develop and implement project process improvement(s).
  • The Payroll Compliance Analyst-Auditor must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
  • The Payroll Compliance Analyst-Auditor Must be able to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • The Payroll Compliance Analyst-Auditor must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners.
  • The Payroll Compliance Analyst-Auditor must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.

Qualifications


  • Construction industry experience preferred.
  • Multi-State experience with emphasis on California Wage & Hour regulations preferred.
  • Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
  • Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:
  • Degree/ Certification in Payroll, Accounting, or related field.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP-ups, sum functions, and charts.
  • Must have strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Associate’ degree or two years’ experience analysis or related field preferred.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
