Key Responsibilities
The Senior Manager of Clubs & Lounges handles all program management related to the portfolio of lounge products. This role will centrally manage (prioritize, track, and report) key project work, as well as lead the implementation of United’s club and lounge capital plan (e.g., the building, renovating, and opening of new facilities worldwide) with internal and external partners. They lead an organization accountable for delivering a cohesive club and lounge program and will introduce defined standards and processes, leading methodical change management, and partnering with key collaborators and vendor partners to drive continuous improvement. Together with the other senior leaders of the team, they will play a vital role in shaping club and lounge strategy by ensuring the collective work across the department is organized to support program goals and is aligned with the company’s vision of an industry-leading lounge program.

- Organize and lead broader updates, including regular partner calls and executive updates
- Serve as project management lead for large-scale implementations, including new facility openings
- Serve as the business’ primary point of contact for envision, design, and build work related to all facility projects
- Lead key vendor partner relationships and implement structure of regular business reviews, performance improvement plans, etc.
- Introduce and document program standards
- This role will travel up to 25% of the time, both domestic and international travel.
- Lead execution of the long-term capital plan, which includes orchestrating work to collect and analyze data, and aggregate it into universal scope documentation and business cases
- Introduce and supervise project prioritization and tracking tools to organize, report on, and measure work underway across the program
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Outstanding eye for detail
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience (Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering)
- Exceptional communicator
- Refined executive presence
- Polished presentation skills
- Project management expertise (ability to handle large, complexed, matrixed, and multi-timeline projects)
- 8+ years’ experience in management roles with commercial focus
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Strong business acumen
- Knowledge of partnership agreements and vendor relations
- Master's degree (MBA, MS)
- PMP certifications
- Familiarity with airport operations
- Business case expertise – ability to fully author and present key facts to support a narrative
- Experience in architecture, engineering, or design
