We are looking for a Program Manager to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Dir, Supplier Quality and based in San Jose, CA.
Additional comments:
As a Program Manager, you will be a part of the team responsible for managing the programs and process to support the quality and reliability standards execution for our components across Bloom Energy; you will work closely with supply chain and engineering as part of a cross functional team. We are looking for a Program Manager expert with a track record of improving the on time, first time right during New Product Introduction and sustaining activities throughout the full life cycle. We are looking for someone who is hands-on, can manage both long term trends and projects, and have extensive involvement in the tools and techniques used to assess risk, project management, requirements, resources, metrics. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, driven, energetic, detailed, team oriented and patient with data.
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Develop, deploy and train on new templates / processes to move the group to project based, data driven organization with clear defined report outs
  • Lead high visibility root cause investigations into project slippages to understand root causes and areas for improvement to improve first time right on time to initial project timelines.
  • Role will cover product and process changes required to move the SQE team forward in a structured and predictable model of execution
  • Assess the timelines for new projects (new product designs, supplier process changes, sustaining changes, new systems) with cross functional teams which could include suppliers. Identifying realistic timelines, resources needed and tracking to execution
  • Change agent to understand the current As Is process, identify and articulate a vision for the group I term so of predictable, consistent execution.
  • Work cross-functionally (including where applicable suppliers) to establish requirements for project tracking / execution for process / product development , process change management etc.
Education, Skills and Experience:
  • Practical working knowledge and application of schedules, metrics
  • BS, (or MS or Ph.D.), in one of the following: Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science or Physics
  • Sound interpersonal skills and strong ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships; Ability to effectively participate on multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong Project Management skills and capabilities particularly in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing processes / templates to move the organization from ad-hoc to project based group with defined dashboards tracking, on time performance, risk management, resource allocation
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint., and Tableau (or alternative BI tool), project or equivalent PM tool, demonstration and usage of the tools in a collaborative (cloud) type environment is critical.
  • Experience working in a global environment is required ie develop . deploy a system that can be used globally
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to prepare and effectively present formal reports to both internal and external customers.
  • Possesses a bias for action and an ability to multitask
  • Must be able to establish technical credibility with the cross functional teams.
  • Ability to travel 0-20% of time.
  • Demonstrated self-initiative and sound judgment on technical projects and improvement initiatives.
  • Flexibility within a rapidly changing, dynamic working environment.
Salary Ranges:
$145,100.00 - $208,900.00
