What You Will Be Doing

EMA is looking for Senior IT Consultant to help our water and wastewater utility clients update and integrate their data flows and information technology systems to produce actionable insights that streamline processes and improve customer satisfaction. You will take a lead role in listening to, documenting, and understanding client data needs across multiple business functions. Working closely with EMA and client experts, you will apply your understanding of databases, data quality management, integrations, semantic design, middleware tools, and cloud functionality to help transform client needs into end user capable systems.

Along the way, you will likely have the opportunity to explore data governance processes, troubleshoot problems, create training plans, deliver training, supporting clients in implementing new technologies, assessing and redesigning business processes, and using organizational and data analysis identify opportunities for improvement and assist in change management of data environments.

Skills Desired

Facilitation skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, strong time management skills, decision making skills for performing advanced troubleshooting using judgement, and willing to learn and work well on a variety of projects.

Advanced data and database skills a plus, including:

• Data analytics/business analysis
• Semantic layer development
• ERD development
• Database optimization and design

• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Information Technology or closely related field). Master’s degree preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a IT consulting role including requirements gathering, report generation, and database design.
