Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

Support all computer hardware, network infrastructure, and implement technology solutions necessary to support the future growth.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPEIRENCE:


  • Must have 5-10 years of work-related experience in a technical engineering role, such as software development, network engineering, technical operations or similar
  • Experience with Windows and Mac Operating systems, Network and VPN systems, M365 admin, and active directory is preferred
  • Experience in Technology infrastructure, such as Network, Monitoring, Systems, Databases, etc.
  • Must have BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, cyber security, or related fields.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


  • Manage existing remote IT Help Desk team while building an internal knowledgebase for future growth
  • Independent, self-starter, with input from cross-functional business leaders.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues without internal support from team members.
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Other duties as assigned
  • Assist in live site support and incident resolution that may include email support
  • Collaborate with end users to troubleshoot PC and networking issues
  • Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access
  • Define and create knowledgebase to centralize technical requirements
  • Establishes networking environment and monitors performance by designing system configuration and directing system installation.
  • Establish & maintain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community & with vendors.
  • Utilizes experience to identify problematic relationships. Anticipates, prevents, and eliminates problems and creates efficient fixes. Facilitates elimination of problems and roadblocks before they occur.
  • Collaborate with human resources to train new hires on proper use of computer equipment, software, and corporate MIS policies
  • Work with existing MSP to administer Microsoft 365 licenses/access across 100+ team members, procuring/sourcing equipment to connect multiple office locations, in an efficient IT infrastructure.
  • Develop protocols to support existing and future growth of the business
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of a backup/recovery system to minimize down time and loss of data in the event of a disaster
  • Maximizes performance by troubleshooting network problems and outages and scheduling maintenance upgrades across on premise and cloud servers.
  • Design and install network infrastructure, including on-premises systems and cloud networking solutions. Includes server administration, WLAN, printers, handheld devices, routers, switches, etc.
