About the role:

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO),Marketplace Innovation and Tech Group (MITG), Division of Marketplace IT Operations.

As a IT Specialist (Security), you will provide project management and cybersecurity technical support to Federal staff and contractors across CCIIO and MITG.

Salary:

$99,908 - $129,878 per year

What you'll do:

• Research new systems technologies and evaluate vendor offerings as they may benefit the FFM program system and security operations.
• Coordinates the design, development, integration, testing and implementation of Cloud computing infrastructure with multiple stakeholders.
• Provides expert advice on applications and systems infrastructure, security, design, risk management, and communication strategies to FFM leadership.
• Ensures the successful integration into CCIIO’s systems and security architecture of business and technology solutions for a wide variety of complex new development initiatives for use across CCIIO.

AND

(1) Overseeing and making recommendations to various stakeholders on changes within IT system infrastructures or ecosystems (such as the Federal Facilitated Marketplace (FFM) or like e-commerce platforms).

(2) Ensuring new IT infrastructure developments or system and application integrations or changes incorporate current or leading best practices and IT security standards (such as the Federal Information Security Management Act, the National Institute of Standards and Technology Risk Management Framework, Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, etc.).

(3) Evaluating new or proposed technologies to determine business value and ability to integrate into target cloud architecture.
