Senior It Application Support Specialist (Remote)

The Senior IT Application Support Specialist in this role supports IT processes in our order entry and inventory management system. Responsibilities includes intake of IT tickets, investigation, and solution documentation. This position works as a liaison between the business users of the application and the IT Development team for the application.

• Applies the concepts of appropriate standard methodologies and best practices with little feedback and supervision.
• Under general direction, performs analysis, design, implementation and maintenance activities in various areas of IT.
• Participates on assignments of low to medium complexity.
• Proactively enforces worldwide and local security policies to ensure IT information assets are protected.
• Conducts feasibility studies, prepares reports, records progress and creates solutions to IT problems/issues.

• Experience with SQL preferred.
• Knowledge of computer programming is a plus.
• Database design and administration knowledge preferred.

• Experience with application support software preferred (incident reporting, testing, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of professional related experience, OR Associate degree and 6+ years of related professional experience, OR High School Diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of related professional experience required.
