The Graphic Designer, Corporate Events role is responsible for producing engaging designs that convey our internal customers’ messages with high visual impact. This position will work with the Team Member Experiences and Internal Communications teams, as well as senior leadership, to strategically design the appropriate visual assets to bring to life our brand promise, key messages and critical data. This role will report directly to the Senior Manager, Team Member Engagement and Internal Communications.

Outcomes and Activities:
  • Work collaboratively with internal customers to ensure clear understanding of messaging needs, requirements and expectations.
  • Coordinate presentation iterations with senior leaders and other critical stakeholders.
  • This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to an assigned Southfield, Michigan office location may be required. However, this position is permitted to work at a Southfield, Michigan office location if requested by the team member.
  • Present customers with design options.
  • Evaluate and recommend design changes to existing communication materials to ensure the organization has consistent and high visual impact messaging.
  • Develop high-impact and on-brand presentations, print and electronic deliverables that support the desired narrative.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Self-driven, motivated to help, and able to perform with minimal supervision in a team environment.
  • A fact-based approach when ideas or designs are rejected.
  • Exceptional written and oral communications.
  • Organized and capable of meeting all deadlines.
  • Conscientious team player.
  • Be a quick thinker, with an ability to understand and interpret information promptly and effectively to produce and deliver your designs.
  • Remain positive, professional, determined, calm and focused when faced with challenging situations and/or changing priorities.
Requirements:
  • Experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, SnagIt or comparable programs, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Experienced in designing and maintaining a consistent brand image
  • Experienced in determining client needs and proposing practical solutions
  • A creative flair with interests in graphics and typography
  • Experienced and confident in presenting ideas to executives, internal customers and colleagues
  • Experienced in managing multiple tasks
Preferred:
  • 5+ years experience with presentation concept design and delivery
  • Experience in branding design
  • Experience working on high-profile projects with executives
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design
Targeted Compensation: $68,000 - $95,000 bas salary + an annual bonus plan
