Job Summary:

"We create happiness." That's our motto at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. And it permeates everything we do. At Disney, you'll help inspire that magic by helping our teams push the limits of entertainment and create the never-before-seen! Walt Disney Imagineering is the master planning, creative design, engineering, production, project management, and research and development arm of The Walt Disney Company. Its experienced corps of Imagineers oversees the creation - from concept initiation through installation - of all Disney Resorts, theme parks and attractions, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, and new media projects.

We are seeking a Graphic Designer with creative presentation skills to transform sophisticated data and information into visually appealing presentations! Must be a Keynote specialist who knows all the bells and whistles of using Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite, and PowerPoint.

The Graphic Designer is a vital part of the Walt Disney Imagineering project team, producing the visuals to represent ideas, strategies, processes, plans, infographics, and data throughout the creative production process. Designing presentations, reports, and exhibits to appeal to a variety of audiences, and using various creative mediums to help bring Imagineering plans to life.

You will report to the Principal Concept Designer.

You Will:

  • Collaborate and coordinate with other team members and departments as part of a larger, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Design presentations, reports, and exhibits adaptable for various audiences and mediums to clearly communicate Walt Disney Parks and Resorts planning as well as assist visuals to various related Studios for internal & external presentations.
  • Create new ways of visualizing information, updating existing templates, and identifying relevant assets and information to assemble presentation materials.
  • Perform research and reconciliation to provide reference materials, basic technical tasks, and presentation preparation, including plotting/printing, gathering required images and visuals, and maintaining and updating recurring reports and presentations.
  • Lead a variety of visual representations of strategies, processes, plans, and data from inception through production.

You Will Have:

  • Demonstrated thoughtful design, typographic skills, color theory, and professional judgment in solving layout and hierarchy challenges.
  • Effective verbal and written communication in a multi-disciplinary environment to ensure content is accurate and appropriate.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Design, Graphic Design, Marketing, or related practice.
  • Strategic & creative problem solver with an understanding of information and data storytelling.
  • Visual design background with experience in both print and digital mediums.
  • Ability to analyze data and complex information and translate into engaging messages accessible to a wide audience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate a basic eye for business skills, including problem solving and critical thinking.
  • Proven experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, and Microsoft Office Suite (specifically PowerPoint and Excel).

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from an accredited college/university majoring in Graphic Design, Information Design, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent work experience

This is a Project Hire role and will sit in Orlando, FL.
