What you will be doing:


Reporting to the Chief People Officer, we are looking for an experienced and highly technical, US-based, Senior Director of People to join our team. You are an accredited HR professional with extensive experience in the US technology sector, working with dynamic, evolving organizations. You have a strong foundation for functional strategy, US employment, change management, compensation and policy frameworks as well as M&A activity and team integrations. You're passionate about leadership and keep employee experience top of mind and everything that you do.


  • Ensure that our People processes, tools and policies are best in class, scaleable, meet the needs of the team and aligned with corporate strategy
  • Help measure the performance and scalability of People team, including service levels, processes, measurement, frameworks and best practice resources
  • Manage or act as key stakeholder in large-scale, organization-wide projects on topics including integration, compensation, equity, performance management, employee engagement, DEIB, compliance
  • Coach the team to design processes and decision-making frameworks that align with the organization's strategy, culture and core values
  • Keep up to date on the organization's strategy and execution of strategy
  • Lead by example for the rest of the organization
  • Report on team performance and progress to senior leadership on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Partner with the Chief People Officer to design and operationalize the People team and headcount-related budgets and manage the budgeting process
  • Responsible for legal compliance with applicable human resource federal and state requirements in all US jurisdictions in which we operate
  • Manage and mentor a high performing, scalable team through shared goals, open communication and a clear sense of accountability
  • Partner with the CEO and Chief People Officer on our Compensation Philosophy and own our total rewards strategy and processes, including bi-annual reviews, cash and equity benchmarking, benefits and perks
  • Own the development and management of People team OKRs

  • Experience leading successful company-wide implementations
  • Entrepreneurial by nature, excels in a fast-paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem solving skills are a given
  • 5 plus years' experience in an HR management role, ideally within dynamic, growth-oriented, high-tech, remote or hybrid environments
  • Exceptional communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing a team of high-performing professionals
  • In-depth knowledge on Human Resource standards, compliance and best practice in the US (Massachusetts, Colorado and others), with some Canadian and international experience
  • Experience supporting a team through mergers, acquisitions and team integrations
  • Intermediate to Expert level Excel/Google Workspace skills, and experience with various apps including Slack, BambooHR, CultureAmp, Lattice, ERI, Notion, Asana
  • Experience designing, implementing and managing the success of innovative compensation and performance management systems


The salary range (OTE) for this position is between $160,000 and $179,000 based on relevant years of experience and skills.
