Senior Director, Operations Technology
The Sr Director, Operations Technology is responsible for identifying and leveraging technology to drive significant value across all Operations (Enterprise). To accomplish this, the Ops Tech lead will monitor digital transformation trends and coordinate with the EOLT to develop, refine and support the execution of Enterprise Operations digital strategy. This includes developing and fostering relationships with academia and industry, as well as creating partnerships with the Corporate Strategy and Information Technology teams and Digital leaders across Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain and other Global Business units. Responsible to coach, mentor, inspire and elevate the strategic and digital capabilities of the Enterprise Ops Business team including but not limited to Data governance and management, advance process controls and automation, data analytics, machine learning.
What you’ll do?
- Leading digital transformation strategy, that includes, developing and refining the supporting business cases, implementation plans, and initial pilots around the most compelling opportunities. Work closely with the Transformation and Digital Scale and Deploy, and Operations teams during development, pilot, scaling and handover.
- Ongoing self-learning through research, networking, ongoing education, partnerships, and relevant industry panel discussions.
- Develop, refine, and support the Enterprise Ops business strategy. Inclusive of:
- Leading the business intelligence and analytics efforts around data governance, management, and providing senior leadership necessary information to support fact-based decision making.
- Serve as representative from Enterprise Ops on global teams around business transformation, strategy, business development, digital transformation and global IT technology and architecture standards. Advance the global operations strategy through developing and maintaining strong internal collaboration and partnership with global IT, Strategy and Growth, Commercial, Business Support, and EOLT. Identify and drive cross business unit synergies to improve Mosaic’s competitiveness.
- Coach, mentor, inspire and elevate the strategic and digital capabilities and adoption of new technologies within the Enterprise Business Team. Includes attracting and recruiting external talent, building a network with academia and industry partners, and facilitating the education, empowerment, and skill enhancement of the current workforce.
- Leading the Potash and Phosphate financial model development, strategy evaluations, and imbedding network optimization into business decisions at all levels of the organization.
What you’ll need:
- Self-starter with the ability and drive to independently frame problems and attack the work at hand.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial principles
- Experience with improving operational management systems, processes and sharing best practices. Lead successful installation of multiple Integrated Operational Centers in global locations.
- Develop and maintain effective business partner relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's Degree required, major in Engineering or Technical degree
- Experience presenting business cases to Executive Management (NPV, IRR) justifying technology investment portfolio and prioritization.
- Experience with analyzing data, trends, and visualizations.
- Demonstrated examples of working with business partners to deliver a solution that met objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, to prioritize, and adapt to a changing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 10+ years of management and leadership experience
