The Director, POS Deployment has oversight of, and responsibility for coordination, planning and execution of Point-of-Sale integration, deployment, and implementation across restaurants in Popeyes North America. We are looking for a candidate experienced in QSR point-of-sale who is well-organized, articulate candidate, and excited to implement new technology across our restaurants. The individual who fills this role with oversee the team to partner with development on release scope and plans, validate releases, create deployment plans with internal and external stakeholders, execute our implementations, ensure restaurants are receiving high quality support, and partner with operations, digital, and marketing to deliver new capabilities. A successful candidate will possess extensive point-of-sale background, strong leadership skills, and the ability to guide/develop direct reports and partners across the organization to ensure committed deadlines are achieved, clear communication, and solid execution.


Responsibilities


  • Strong stakeholder management and communication to provide clear status and expectations on our ability and timeline to implement requested initiatives.
  • Own the end to end process and deliver efficient processes structure to support the internal and external stakeholder acceptance.
  • Working with cross functional team members to solicit and document requirements for all new product tests and launches.
  • Must be able to drive automation into the existing process and refine to drive significant improvement through the entire chain.
  • Identify opportunities to improve deployment processes/challenges through changes in technology or methodology.
  • Will lead the and direct a positive and professional environment that will allow team space for growth and creativity
  • Partnering with product and engineering teams to align on upcoming enhancements and delivery timelines
  • Build, share and communicate deployment plans wit stakeholders
  • Help design and maintain a robust process for efficient throughput for requests
  • Overseeing third party QA team to ensure all content and POS changes are tested and execute as anticipated in-restaurant.


Qualifications


  • 7+ years of overall experience in retail technology and clear understanding of operations with QSR experience preferred
  • Experience working with retail technology platforms such as POS, menu boards, and digital channels (App, delivery, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Operations Management or related field
  • Detail-orientated and hands-on
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience with the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, engineering, testing, deployment, and support
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency
  • Experience with Help Desk support for retail/restaurant outlets
  • High comfort level of navigating emerging channels both within and outside of the technology space to identify how to improve our team menber and guest experiences.
