Job Description
Responsibilities
Summary
  • Interpret policies, procedures, and goals of the company for subordinates.
  • Provide leadership and direct supervision to assigned employees, including setting goals, monitoring work performance, coaching and evaluating results to ensure that objectives are met.
  • Manage all aspects of the customer relationship for assigned contracts ensuring effective and efficient communication along with addressing and resolving customer complaints.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with IT to ensure that product and service applications and technologies are optimized for contract compliance, productivity, and quality performance.
  • Provide leadership and direct supervision to assigned employees, including setting goals, monitoring work performance, coaching and evaluating results to ensure that objectives are met.
  • Participate in the monitoring of the operational budget related to assigned contracts.
  • Experience maintain up-to-date and accurate knowledge with all applicable statutes, regulations and contractual requirements and ensures the project is in compliance with all and ensures all program/client services are effectively and efficiently delivered.
  • Create an entrepreneurial work environment by involvement in developing and hiring superior talent and instilling a culture of accountability, measurability, and discipline without undue bureaucracy.
  • Client Management experience – proven history of managing client relationship ensuring effective and efficient communication, addressing and resolving customer complaints
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate knowledge with all applicable statutes, regulations and contractual requirements and ensures the project is in compliance with all and ensures all program/client services are effectively and efficiently delivered.
  • Manage overall operations and performance of assigned contracts including P&L, quality and compliance with all terms and conditions along with preparing and analyzing regular performance reports.
  • Previous experience being accountable for profit & loss and budget ownership, quality and compliance with all terms and conditions along with preparing and analyzing regular performance reports
  • Maintain primary responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction, resolving compliance issues, and accountability for profit & loss with assigned contracts and lines of business.
  • Manage continual process improvement by monitoring, refining, and optimizing workflow and processes with the goal of continuously improving overall effectiveness (efficiency, productivity, and quality).
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Medicaid or other public assistance programmatic and/or eligibility experience preferred
  • Proven experience directing and responsible for the activities of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups or service areas through senior managers who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of those assigned areas.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required, preferred field of study in Health or Social services field, equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
  • Experience interacting internally and externally with executive level management, requiring negotiation of extremely critical matters.
  • 7+ years of large-scale project management experience, with demonstrated ability to timely and efficiently lead projects which deliver high-quality operational and financial performance results
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with stakeholder and advocacy groups
  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of leading and/or working with functional areas and developing business strategies.
  • Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously

Job Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of automated solutions to improve efficiency, productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicates and collaborate with management, supervisors and staff to identify challenges and opportunities and to develop creative and innovative solutions for operational excellence.
  • Maintain an understanding of and ensure compliance with MAXIMUS policies, project policies and procedures, and state and federal regulations applicable to programs administered by MAXIMUS.
  • Provide guidance, direction and development for Operations directors and managers.
  • Collaborate and work closely with clients and leadership team on project specific directives/initiatives.
  • Build a strong management team and direct assigned staff to ensure the completion of work in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Participate with executive management to establish strategic Operations plans, objectives, initiatives, and work plans for the project.
  • Responsible for strategic planning and tactical execution for organizational excellence by directing, communicating, organizing, resourcing, monitoring, performance managing and engaging a talented workforce to facilitate the delivery of customer focused, efficient and continuously improving products and services.
  • Develop, implement, and administer Operations processes and policies to ensure customer satisfaction, improved efficiency and high productivity.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with representatives of client agencies and stakeholders to promote and develop MAXIMUS services.
  • Align objectives, measure results, conduct developmental discussion and complete performance reviews.
Minimum Requirements:

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
