Senior Manager, Distribution

MAIN PURPOSE

The Sr. Manager, Distribution manages the 3rd party distribution operations. This includes managing people, process, and systems supporting receipt of goods and customer shipments for CH and PHA

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Manager, Distribution, are to:

• Develop and maintain relationship with 3rd party distribution provider
• Actively drive engagement and culture within function
• Ensure that talent management and succession planning are occurring at all levels within function
• Drive functional continuous improvement programs
• Lead functional special projects, including acquisitions and divestitures
• Develop regional functional strategy for CH and PHA
• Responsible for functional operational budget and KPIs
• Ensure functional compliance to all Bayer Directives and Government regulations
• Collaborate with Transportation, Customer Logistics and Product Supply counterparts to increase efficiencies and reduce costs while improving service (C-OTIF)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or other related field
• Experience in distribution or closely related field required, including cross-functional collaboration
• Experience managing operation (internal or 3PL) required
• Excellent communication skills
• Customer focus, including demonstrated continuous improvement projects
• Experience managing operational budget and KPIs required

Preferences:

• Knowledge of WMS and ERP systems strongly preferred
• Minimum 2 years proven leadership experience, including ability to attract and develop talent and build teams
• Experience in the consumer industry is preferred
• Minimum 12 years’ experience in Distribution and Logistics, Product Supply, Customer Logistics or related field or 10 years' experience with a Master’s Degree preferred
