Senior Director Of Operations

Energy Solutions is currently seeking a full-time Senior Director of Operations to lead our Business Operations team. In this role, you will be part of the company’s senior leadership, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, and contributing to company growth, strategic planning, operational efficiencies, project risk management, data analytics, budgeting, and forecasting. You will play a key role in driving operational efficiencies, increasing our impacts per unit of resource, promote a company-wide culture of process standards, best practices, standardization, and integration, and helping lead the transition of our company to operate internationally with 1000+ employees. This is the perfect position for someone with a proven track record of strong leadership skills, analytical abilities, systems and process automation experience, and demonstrated problem solving skills.

In this position you will head a team of business operations professionals with a mission to predictably operate and continuously improve cross departmental activities that service the full organization to enable efficiency, mitigate risk, drive alignment, and scale impacts. This position will also be instrumental in helping to identify and implement a new Enterprise Resource Platform for our growing company and implementation experience is highly desirable if not required.

Energy Solutions is a successful and rapidly growing firm and, as such, this position is expected to be eligible for promotion to the Vice President level based on ongoing individual and company performance. We are seeking candidates with interest and demonstrated potential to ascend into executive management.

Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

• Leading and coaching high-performing Operations, PMO, Business System Management, Data Science COE, and Communications team.
• Overseeing key business operations initiatives such as corporate operational data warehouse and company performance dashboard to automate the report of real-time operational metrics, provide business insights and data-driven recommendations.
• Developing and presenting operational analyses.
• Reviewing and leading the development of relevant policies and procedures related to the business operations functions to fulfill organizational objectives.
• Overseeing and implementing organizational risk management processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships across the leadership team to align goals and missions across multiple business functions.
• Managing operations of companywide internal communications and information sharing.
• Monitoring and communicating the progress of operations projects to leadership.
• Managing major and incidental companywide initiatives in response to external events and opportunities, in particular, overseeing the selection and transition to a new ERP system over the next two years.
• Regular communication regarding budgeting and forecasting for growth.
• Managing operations and administrative budgets in addition to overseeing client project budgets.
• Working closely with cross departmental teams to identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to streamline organizational processes and improve the use of resources.
• Reviewing processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement, change management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven track record of successfully leading organizations through significant change and business process transformation initiatives, specifically in launching and implementing an Enterprise Resource Platform on a large scale.
• Experience working with, organizing, and interpreting large amounts of data.
• Director level experience at a large (>1000 person) organization
• Demonstrated outstanding problem solving, quantitative, and analytical skills.
• Ability to effectively integrate and supervise a team of proven performers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Environmental or a related field.
• Ability to solve complex problems and provide solutions.
• Master’s degree highly preferred in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Environmental or a related field.
• A metrics-driven and data driven mindset and well versed with data analytics.
• Mission-driven and aligned experience (related to clean tech/climate tech/utility)
• A leader who is able to roll up their sleeves to lean in when gaps are identified
• San Francisco Bay Area or West Coast resident highly preferred.
• 15+ years of work experience including 5+ years in a Director-level role and demonstrated supervisory and leadership capacity.

Salary DOE: $160k - $230k/Annually
