Summary:
Deployed Services is looking for a talented communicator and employee engagement enthusiast to serve as Communications Manager. This will be a remote position that requires limited travel.
Reporting to the EVP of Communications and working closely with the Senior Director of Employee Communications and the Senior Director of External Communications, this position will help develop and manage communications efforts for a fast-growing professional services company.
Essential Functions:
- Plan and execute creative and effective messaging and initiatives for the company’s external audiences
- Develop and execute communications strategies that convey the spirit and priorities of the company to internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and launch new opportunities to help our employees connect
- Develop opportunities to strengthen relations in the communities where the company operates
- Plan and execute employee-focused initiatives, including HR communications
- Other duties as assigned
- Maintain the company’s online presence
- In partnership with the Senior Director of Employee Communications:
- Manage effective information flow to remote and site-based employees
- In partnership with the Senior Director of External Communications:
- Oversee employee-focused communications tools
- Draft external messaging

- Ability to prioritize initiatives based on the evolving needs of the company
- Ability to work nights and weekends. We operate 24/7/365.

- Passion for employee communications and a positive workplace culture
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to write clearly for a variety of audiences
- Familiarity with digital technologies that drive engagement and collaboration
Education and Experience:
- College degree, required
- Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check and a background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- 5-8+ years of experience in communications or HR fields
Physical Demands
The employee may be required to stand, walk, twist, turn, bend, climb, lift, or kneel. Occasional lifting to 25Ibs may occur.
