eHealth is hiring a Trainer who will be responsible for planning, developing, and delivering training to sales professionals with a concentrated focus on our BPO business. This position is responsible for collaborating with eHealth Sales Leadership, Training Team members, and specific carriers to optimize performance of individuals and ensure any contractual requirements are met. The ideal candidate will be someone that has both sales training experience, carrier coordination, program management, as well as Medicare insurance and product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the creation, revision, and preparation of training outlines, agendas, presentations, and materials by working closely with insurance carriers within a specific local markets, carriers, and contracted partners.
  • Share evaluations of learner’s progress to sales leadership which will enhance the successful transition of new hires from the training environment to production.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision using established procedures.
  • Improve training effectiveness by developing new approaches and techniques; providing readily available support; integrating support with routine job functions.
  • Prepare newly hired sales agents by facilitating training on our sales process and company culture in a blended learning model (classroom, e-learning, job shadowing).
  • Maintain training records, statistics, and monthly metrics.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in training facilitation techniques, both onsite and virtual
  • Managing the continuing education of dedicated teams, advisors, and leaders.
  • Assist in auditing sales performance, present findings, and recommend areas of improvement to sales leadership, carrier partners and eHealth functional teams.
  • Exhibits “can do” attitude and solution-oriented approach to issues encountered.
  • Manage new hire classes during training to ensure they are meeting performance objectives such as attendance adherence, quality assurance, and customer care standards.
  • Determines training needs by observing sales encounters; studying sales results reports; conferring with sales leadership.
Required Experience, Education, Skills, and Competencies:
  • Excellent attention to details.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, high school diploma required.
  • Ability to adjust training techniques to accommodate various learning styles.
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and group facilitation skills.
  • Strong computer skills to operate effectively with company systems and programs. Knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Publisher & Excel)
  • Expert in training techniques and adult learning methodologies.
  • Experience in the use of E-Learning tools, development, and implementation.
  • Experience with Sales Force
  • 3 years of experience in a sales training, preferable in health insurance industry (Individual and Family, Medicare, Small Business, Ancillary).
Additional Requirements:
  • This position may require up to 40% travel within the US.

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes an annual performance bonus, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
