Job Description

We are looking for a Sales Manager for our client, an internationally operating private business that focuses on sustainable bundling and banding solutions since 1990. They are a fast-growing packaging company with Headquarters in the Netherlands and offices in Toronto and Fresno, CA. In the role of Sales Manager, you are the key external interface for all commercial activities between the company’s Head Office and its customers, prospects, and business partners. Your daily activities are focused on selling the assigned products and developing business relationships. You have experience selling capital equipment, are proactive and have a hunter mentality.

Their banding technology offers help in reducing packaging waste and limits the use of plastic. They help their customers reach their sustainability goals while ensuring a strong visual brand. The company currently operates in over 120 countries around the world, supported by their worldwide network of over 50 dealers. They hold strong innovative, sustainable, and socially responsible values with which they operate in all areas of their organization. Due to their growth in the US, they are looking for a Sales Manager.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain an accurate business forecast (Sales Pipeline)
  • Execute, develop, and improve the sales activities, related systems & tools that contribute achieving revenue objectives and loyalty with the customer & prospect base.
  • Plan and organize activities (travel, visits, meetings) required to achieve your personal objectives.
  • Support and drive new business growth in targeted market sectors and territories.
  • Identify and communicate competitor & market developments and opportunities.
  • Have adequate communication with customers, prospects and influencing companies to build sustainable business relationships.
  • Sell companies packaging solutions, their concepts as well as the machines.
  • Prepare accurate bids, price quotes and sales reports through the CRM system.
  • Follow up on Sales & Marketing initiatives. Be a professional business partner for customers, prospects, influencers, and relationships in every activity you do.
  • Follow-up on quotations, generate sales report on a regular basis.
  • Identify new sales channels, establish rapport with key decision-makers.
  • Develop and implement business development and strategic sales plans to accomplish the company’s products and concepts sales goals and targets.


Profile

  • Business Development & Selling skills to find new and develop existing business.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently.
  • Relationship builder with excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 50%+.
  • Proactive and hunter (sales) mentality.
  • Strong communication and team management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines and deliverables for multiple tasks, well-developed project management skills.
  • Team player, encourages cooperation, collaboration, and partnerships.
  • Proven and successful track record of sales results in similar business.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of related industry experience (capital equipment) in a sales position.
  • Strong drive to achieve results and a good negotiator.
  • Analytical with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Must have a solid and well-established network in relevant industries such as Graphics, Food, Pharma, E-commerce, and Logistics.
