We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Director of Independent Retail - Northeast, (NY, NJ, PA, DE, MA, RI, CT, MD, VA, DC). The Sales Director of Independent Retail is a key player on the FIJI Water Team and is expected to be a strategic, pro-active creative problem solver with a demonstrated track record of professional & persuasive sales skills. We are looking for someone who understands healthy, high-quality products, has a positive attitude, and embraces the challenge of capturing opportunities. This position reports to the VP of Sales – Independent Retail Channel.



As the Sales Director of Independent Retail, you will be a leader of a team, managing and developing them in their professional growth, while executing brand plans and through collaboration with the cross-functional teams, you will accelerate our growth and provide first class customer service to our business partners. This position reports to the VP of Sales – Independent Retail Channel.


  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts, industry associations, and other clients
  • Post ad analysis and evaluate promotional effectiveness
  • Play a key leadership role in working with the necessary field sales and marketing teams, to have an overall enterprise contribution to meet objectives and key results. Ensure strategies are fully developed, implemented, and represented in all accounts
  • Evaluates ROI prior to recommending POS or customized solutions
  • Achieve desired results in a matrixed organization to ensure alignment and collaboration
  • Develop strategic account plans and metric driven customer-centric business reviews
  • Manage Account Level P&L for branded portfolio
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously developing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Ensure positive customer experiences, value creation, and growth
  • Assist in development and delivery of annual business review at each of your accounts.
  • Develop and execute account specific CMA programs and be on budget


Qualifications


  • Working knowledge of IRI and other syndicated data, Power BI, Power Apps
  • Required BS/BA Degree and/or minimum CPG (or similar industry) sales experience of 7-10 years demonstrating progressive responsibility and achievements
  • You are comfortable with traveling up to 50% for working with team, customers meetings, trade shows, collaboration, and conferences or amount discussed with VP of Sales
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience selling multiple product lines (ideally from multiple companies or brands) to multiple accounts across multiple channels, Convenience store emphasis
  • Strong appreciation for the Wonderful Company values and culture especially related to health and wellness
  • Experience in managing Broadliners, Account HQ and Independent Distributors
