VSP Optics is seeking a trailblazing sales professional to take on the role of Account Executive for our South Bay and East Bay Area region in the bustling heart of San Jose, California. As Account Executive, you'll have the opportunity to work with some of the most innovative optical technology available and showcase your skills in developing new prospects and managing existing accounts.
In this role, you'll be the driving force behind VSP Optical Lab's market share growth and operational goals. You'll use your sales expertise to increase sales among VSP doctors within your territory while also educating them on the latest industry trends and premium lens products. With at least two years of direct outside sales experience and optical expertise, you'll be able to forge strong partnerships with VSP network doctors and become a trusted consultant for all their needs related to VSP. While this is a remote opportunity, you must reside in the greater San Jose area.
Your future responsibilities include the following:
- Act as a liaison between VSP Lab and customers to ensure service levels and expectations are met.
- Educate customers on industry trends and new lens products to assist with business decisions.
- Maintain current knowledge of existing and new products/services and other general information to ensure accurate information is provided.
- Document sales activity and monitor account growth within the Northern Washington territory.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to retain existing business and educate accounts on the utilization of premium lens products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with VSP doctors and their staff.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Broad knowledge of ophthalmic lenses and coatings is preferred.
- Clean DMV record.
- Demonstrated track record meeting sales/revenue goals with significant account responsibility.
- Two or more years of direct outside sales experience.
- Must be willing to travel more than 50% of the time.
Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Candidate must reside within the territory. The territory will include the South Bay and East Bay Area, CA. This role qualifies for base salary, commission and other sales related allowances.
