Job Description

If you’re a Sales professional that likes to hunt and close deals that directly impact corporate revenue goals, then we have the position for you. You’ll be expanding market share in the higher education vertical, where we’re a proven leader in occupancy technology.

At Occuspace, our mission is to enable anyone to see how busy a location is at any given time. We are a data and analytics company offering real-time and historical occupancy data via proprietary hardware and software technology. Our platform measures how many people are in a building, floor, or a specific zone in real time. We offer solutions for companies and organizations in verticals that include; universities, multifamily properties, retail, fitness, recreation, dining, and government. Space utilization technology is a fast-growing industry with more attention than ever placed on efficient space usage, customer experience, and data analytics for the physical world.


The ultimate measurement of success is for you to drive revenue by owning the following responsibilities:


  • Work with Marketing on executing multi-touch lead generation campaigns
  • Own and manage the higher education sales pipeline
  • Identify, prospect, qualify, and close sales opportunities
  • Work with Account Management on expansion and cross-sell opportunities
  • Plan and forecast revenue
  • Attend industry conferences

  • 3+ years of sales experience in tech industry or selling into higher education is a plus
  • Comfortable with technology and selling technical services
  • Enterprise software, data sales, or consultative sales experience is a plus
  • Proven self-starter to initiate consistent sales prospecting
  • Work independently with support and assistance as needed from the company
  • Able to travel on an as-needed basis to close agreements or support their business needs
  • Highly professional communications and presentation skills Experience working with a professional sales team or business development organizations
