Safety Coordinator - Ns

Executes on safety, health and environmental programs for Plant proper, Waste Water, Transportation, Rendering, Admin, etc.. Facilities. Promotes safety and environmental culture to drive employee safety and continuous improvement to prevent injuries and accidents by applying knowledge of industrial processes, mechanics, chemistry, and industrial health and safety laws.

Duties/Activities Required by Job

• Conduct safety inspections, document findings, and implement corrective actions. Communicate findings and action plans to facility managers and directors. Completes internal reports as required (DOR, MOR, etc..)
• Executes on safety & environmental programs. Conduct site compliance visits for facilities under area of responsibility (Plant proper, Waste Water, Transportation, Rendering, Admin, etc..) to ensure employee safety, compliance and to achieve company goals. Supports the Safety Manager, maintain records, corrective actions recommended, updated inspections, site visits.
• Work with internal customers to provide direction and support on compliance programs and continuous improvement. Facilitates Goal Zero programs. Conduct and create awareness & recognition activities. Attend safety and environmental continued education and specialized training. Facilitates Goal Zero actions. Ensure training on OSHA regulations, as well as company policies are completed as required. Submit all required regulatory reporting.
• Assist manager in performing job task analysis, determine employee exposure and institute safe work procedures. Maintain records and reports of analysis. And corrective actions. Alternate for Accident Review Board.
• Assist the manager in conducting and creating awareness & recognition activities to promote Safety Culture

Educations/Experience Requirements

• 0-3 years
• Good verbal and communication skills, computer skills
• High School
