Job Description

Summary:

This entry-level position will be responsible for monitoring natural gas plant gasoline inventories and developing a daily truck schedule within an assigned territory. This position is an important link between our internal operations team and outside drivers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organizing and filing current and historical work requests, inventory records and other information.
  • Schedule and dispatch drivers to appropriate locations according to inventory levels, employee requests or emergency response.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Track and prioritize multiple natural gas plants gasoline inventory levels to maintain operations.
  • Maintain positive relations with employees and customers by resolving problems and fulfilling requests for trucking needs in a timely manner.

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Must be organized and able to work effectively as a team member.
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills to interface with others in a professional manner.
  • 2-4 years of experience
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Intermediate level understanding of Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze and report data.
  • Dispatching or logistical experience is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Normal office working conditions. Monday – Thursday, 10-hours/day.
  • Laptop and cell phone assigned for occasional after-hour communication.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • On-the-job training provided by experienced employees.
