Job Description
:
Indorama Integrated Oxides & Derivatives is looking for an Inspection Coordinator to join our team in Port Neches, Texas. The Inspection Coordinator functions as a Risk Based Inspection (RBI) subject matter expert for site. Provide assistance and guidance to Area Inspectors regarding the application of risk-based inspection process for risk management. Maintain oversight of RBI software tool to ensure updates are current and PNO users are familiar with use of software.
What will be expected from you?
  • Mentor less experienced ASINT users.
  • Provide coordination assistance during major maintenance events such as turnarounds and unit shutdowns.
  • Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Coordinate ASINT training for PNO personnel as applicable.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to both Indorama and contract personnel performing inspection and other mechanical integrity related services.
  • Develop procedures and workflows to implement RBI process and continuously improve program effectiveness.
  • Facilitate RBI Program involvement of PNO personnel from different departments, such as Operations, Process Engineering, PSM, Maintenance, Reliability and Inspection.
  • Perform internal audits to identify effectiveness and accuracy of the ASINT software tool.
  • Participate in maintenance and inspection activities at the PNO site as a resource for repairs or alterations for new and existing fixed equipment assets.
  • Develop and implement strategies in utilizing RBI data to plan and prioritize routine maintenance and T&I activities and schedules in accordance with the Site's Risk Target and Risk Threshold boundaries.
  • Provide assistance in the development, reporting and keeping the RBI (Risk Based Inspection) program at the PNO Site up to date.
  • Assists other employees in accomplishments of Indorama company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
  • Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company required training programs.
What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
  • Bachelors in an appropriate technical degree preferred, but not required. Must have 5+ years’ experience in the inspection industry
  • Must have a level of proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email and Microsoft Office programs
  • Working knowledge of API 571 Damage Mechanisms Affecting Fixed Equipment in the Refining Industry, API 580 Risk Based Inspection, API 581 Risk Based Inspection Technology, and other inspection related codes.
  • Must have a deep and complete understanding of applicable ASME, API and OSHA codes and standards.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC Card
  • Have a thorough understanding of the RBI concepts and the functional use of risk based inspection software.
  • Minimum of 2 years as API Inspector and 5+ years in relevant inspection related activities
