If you understand the passion and energy behind a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant operation and are an experienced Restaurant Manager, we’d like to hear from you! Working in collaboration with the Executive Chef, the Manager is responsible for defining and executing sales and service strategies that deliver exceptional service, quality food, and an enjoyable atmosphere that result in repeat business and growth. With a keen eye on financials, the Manager provides hands-on leadership, motivation, and direction to teams.

MAIN JOB DUTIES:
People and environment
- Creates and distributes effective work schedules.
- Offer continuous development and coaching of service team.
- Monitors overall condition of the restaurant and ensures the work environment is clean, organized, sanitary, and safe.
Customer focus
- Handles customer issues in a polite, personable, and professional manner that builds loyalty in the company.
- Manages reservation system and understands how to effectively manage wait times, table turns, and rushes.
- Projects positive business image and welcomes and engages guests by table-touches, and follow-ups during service.
- Keeps a pulse on what guests want and endeavors to expand the restaurant’s reach through promotions, programs, special menus, and offerings.
Financial focus
- Effectively utilizes tools and systems available including POS and inventory programs; researching and recommending additional efficiencies, ideas, tools, and systems as needed.
- Responsible for monthly inventories including but not limited to China, glass, and silver.
- Manages cash bank, comps, and voids; ensures all end of day cash outs are correctly completed; prepares and makes daily bank deposits.
- Manages operating costs, labor tracking, manages P&L, and identifies and implements ways to increase revenues, and reduce spend and waste.
- Monitors and manages vendor relationships and contracts for services and maintenance.
- Generates and utilizes daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and periodic reports to improve financial performance and control labor costs.
- Collaborates with marketing team to execute effective strategic and periodic marketing plans.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- TABC and Food Handlers certificates and/or Serve Safe Management certificate required.
- Strong computer and data entry skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Previous experience with POS systems required, including Toast POS and Open Table.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to perform general math, forecasting, budgeting, and calculating percentages and figures.
- 10+ years’ experience managing in high-volume, fast-paced restaurant.
- College degree in Hospitality or Restaurant Management valued.
- Strong phone skills, and ability to manage phone operating systems and messaging.
