One of my long-standing clients is seeking an excited and skilled Regional Sales Manager to promote and sell our extensive range of product inspection systems which include metal detection, X-ray systems, and check weighing machines. The position is remote-based and will cover a specific territory in the US. We operate primarily in the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries however there are also clients from across an extensive spectrum of industries.
Some of the territories may have manufacturer representatives or distributor organizations to assist in achieving the specified goals. It is the direct responsibility of the Regional Sales Manager to train, mentor and manage these individuals or companies in order to maximize their time and effort towards the range of products.
On a regular basis, the Regional Sales Manager is also expected to provide feedback and communicate with the Sales Director on sales and marketing activities in the territory.
Detailed Job Responsibilities:
- Establish an annual sales plan for the territory and agree on target achievement and key tasks with the Director of Sales.
- Working with Sales Director to hire, train, encourage, and mentor Area Sales Managers in your District to grow your territories market share.
- Maintain and utilize the Application center in your Territory to demonstrate equipment, and perform training and product testing for prospective projects.
- Plan and execute the sales process from conception to order placement and follow through until the successful start-up of the machinery.
- Participate in Sales meetings on a regular basis as required by the Director of Sales.
- Establish and/or maintain on an ongoing basis a computerized database of customers (CRM) and customer activities for the assigned territory.
- Follow up on all the sales leads that are presented for your assigned territory.
- Respect all policies as outlined in the Employee Manual.
