Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

Reports to Sr. Manager, Director Sr. Director or VP

Typically requires interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive or controversial situations.

Minimum 3+ years’ supervisory/management experience preferred

Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects

Facility management for multiple sites (within different regions and/or states)

Small fleet management and routing

Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.

Managing budgets and preparing financial reports for senior management

Assisting with Project Management by creating assignments, tracking progress, and resolving issues.

Four (4) years of logistics experience

Lean manufacturing experience is preferred

Maintain good housekeeping and material identification and organization in his/her area

Set acceptable standards of performance for his/her employees and ensures through training, direction, and discipline that these standards are met

Check all transactions in area to minimize errors and to ensure inventory balance integrity while making material balance adjustments, if needed

Ensure that parts have been allocated correctly in area and that conveyor and flow racks are organized and identified properly

Assist manager by making recommendations in identifying, recruiting and developing talents, securing succession plans in collaboration with manager.

Must have experience working with warehouse systems (Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

Must have three (3) year experiences in a warehouse environment, one (1) in a supervisory role

Knowledge of Railtrac, UMLER, Railinc, PC Miler, Transportation Management Systems, SAP and Cost Accounting

Manage fleet assets and develop fleet strategies to meet production and business requirements.

Operational Logistics and Asset Management:

Manage operational relationships with vendors.

Manage costs within area of responsibility and participate in the budget planning process.

Manage commercial relationships with vendors.

Daily operational management of a team of up to 15+ logistics technicians

Knowledge and certification in HAZMAT regulation

Lead (Technically and Disciplinary) Logistics/SCM Department within IPST and On-Site/Off Site Locations.

Support Technical Design, Implementation and Sustainment of New Concepts, Procedures and Processes.

Participate and support in all activities in regards to development projects, Series and Plant Site Strategy.

Key interface for Logistics' Daily Operational KPI Metrics Tracking and Reporting.

Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Business or related field) or 4 years of relevant work experience

2+ years of experience in salaried (non-hourly) Analyst, Operations, Consulting or Engineering role

Effective business writing and speaking skills and confidence engaging with all levels of leadership

Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills

oVerifies and enters product and shipment data into the Warehouse management system.

·Utilize initiative and good judgment skills to accurately accomplish duties with little or no supervision.

·Knowledge of LTL shipping using brokers as well as individual carriers.

·High School diploma or equivalent work experience is required.

·Minimum of 3 years of experience in multiple departments in the warehouse.

·Experience working with WMS systems (NetSuite preferred)

Construction management experience is preferred

Market level business planning including staffing levels, forecasting, backlog and P&L management.

Experience managing managers is preferred.

Proficient using Microsoft Office, Google Earth, and customer account management software

Experience managing warehouse teams is preferred, or some experience training and leading warehouse associates

Experience implementing and improving standard operating procedures is preferred
