Job Description


The Regional Director will be responsible for successfully selling financial and funding solutions, services and program solutions related to fleet management and mobility for US fleets of greater than 100 units. This will be realized by lead generation resulting in closing new business opportunities combined with supporting LeasePlan sales and account management team members on requests for assistance in regard to existing clients. We currently are seeking a candidate who resides in Chicago, Detroit, Saint Louis, Kansas City, Indianapolis or surrounding areas.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Prospecting activities to identify new business opportunities and meet minimum activity requirements.
  • Utilizing SalesForce.com to manage and keep accurate records of activities, prospect desires, fleet solutions, stakeholder analysis and discovery documentation.
  • Work complex sales and bring to a successful close/win.
  • Manage territory and prospect requirements within LeasePlan.
  • Utilize "war room" strategies to vet and create strategic approaches to win key national or regional prospects, by utilizing consultative and solutions oriented selling processes.
  • Other duties assigned to ensure overall departmental efficiency.
  • Financially analyze total cost of ownership and understand financial statements and balance sheets.

  • Identify and profile all key prospects within the given territory.
  • Create viable prospects into new customers.
  • Set meetings for formal introductions to earn the right that drives agreement for further meetings to do discovery and questioning, which drives further commitment to present LeasePlan's services, funding offerings, analytics and fleet management solutions, which creates an opportunity to provide pricing on those solutions and negotiation of agreements and statement of work.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is virtual; however, the ideal candidate should live in, or easily have access to the Midwest region.

POSITION TYPE/STANDARD SCHEDULE

This is a Full-time position and hours of work are Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

TRAVEL

Must be willing to travel a minimum of 40% of the time.


MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or economics, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years outside sales in the selling of a financial service or non-tangible service-driven programs, with Top-Producer status in the most recent years.
  • General understanding of finance, balance-sheet and lease structures.
