Regional Director, Municipal Sales
We are seeking an experienced Municipal Sales professional to join our team. This role is an integral member of the sales organization and will be responsible for developing and executing business development strategies that target municipalities. This role will work closely with the services, marketing and customer service teams to grow our Sustainable Community Networks solar + battery storage footprint.The right candidate will be skilled in working with government entities, visionary and passionate about renewable, sustainable solutions. This position reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer. This role can be based in Fresno County or a neighboring county in close proximity.
Responsibilities:
- Fosters external relationships with customers, third parties and members of the communities we invest in
- Communicate the value proposition and capabilities of Electriq Power’s solar + battery storage solutions
- Acts as liaison between internal and external specialists regarding procurement, contracting, permitting and interconnection
- Develop, strategize and engage with ecosystem partners within the municipal - residential community channel
- Demonstrated expertise in renewable energy legislative policies and regulatory matters
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to travel 50% - 60 % of the time
- Recruit, train, mentor and grow the business development team
- Demonstrated expertise in renewable energy technologies and markets
- New business development and/or expanding existing business partnerships with municipalities and delivering revenue and pipeline
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Operations teams and execute on Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, marketing campaigns, to assist with sales efforts in targeted markets
Work Experience:
- 7-10+ years of experience with a proven track record of success in both sales as well as business development goals
Knowledge & Skills:
- Familiar with tracking customer funnel in CRM
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
- In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events
- Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations
- Attention to detail
- Creative talents and the ability to solve tough problems
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Proficient in Google suite
- Excellent time management skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work and life experience
- Master's/MBA degree preferred
Salary:
$125,000 - $150,000 base annually + uncapped incentives
