Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Sales Manager to oversee our independent representative network across Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arkansas. The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with extensive sales experience, adept at managing both direct and indirect sales channels, and possesses a thorough understanding of the electric utility sector.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular product training sessions and meetings with the representatives.
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new independent representatives as needed.
- Develop and manage the sales strategy for the region.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
- Establish, maintain, and expand relationships with the independent representative network.
- Directly engage key customers, leading negotiations and closing sales, while also building long-term relationships.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our product line and the electric utility market.
- Meet and exceed sales objectives for the region.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of sales experience, preferably in the electric utility sector.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and drive business growth.
- Proven track record of managing a sales representative network or team, and successful direct sales to customers.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel frequently within the region.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Experience selling OEM products in the power systems industry.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Familiarity with the business landscape and customer base in the Southwest region.
Benefits and Compensation
- Total compensation between $130k and $180k depending on experience, with approximately 25% being commission-based.
- Note: Preference for individuals currently living in the region, but relocation is negotiable for the right candidate.
